TFC has two certified counselors available during the school year for students who need a confidential ear. Our career services can help students from creating a resume to looking for a job.

Counseling and Career Services

The Counseling and Career Services office has two licensed professional counselors on campus for students and also helps students prepare for a career. The office is located on the lower floor of Fant Hall.

Counseling Services:

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Consultation for students, faculty and staff
  • Discussion and support groups
  • Referral to outside practitioners and agencies
  • Educational programs and workshops

The Counseling Center offers a supportive confidential environment in which students can mature as whole persons and become better equipped to handle college life.  The Counseling Center provides individual and group counseling, referral resources, and psycho-educational presentations.

Jon Kerr, M.S. LPC, NCC
Director of Counseling and Career Services

Jon graduated from John Brown University with a B.S. in Broadcasting.  He went on to receive an M.S. in Community Counseling from Georgia State University.  He is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a National Certified Counselor.  He is a member of the American College Counseling Association and a member and current president of the Georgia chapter (GCCA).  He is involved in his church as an elder and Sunday school teacher.  His counseling interests are men and women issues, relationships, and marriage and family health.

Brenna Vickers, M.S., L.P.C.

Brenna graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a B.S. in Christian Counseling. She went on to receive an M.S. in Community Counseling from North Georgia College and State University and is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Professional Counselor.  Brenna is a member of the Georgia College Counseling Association.  Brenna is active in her home church, serving on the Youth Parent Committee and as Director of the Nursery.  She is also involved in REVIVE, a community women’s group. Brenna enjoys working with college age students and has a special interest in working with Third Culture Kids.
